Because I haven't updated lately, a lot of you may not be aware of what is happening to me lately. I am no longer at the Records company, as my wife and I had a horrific pregnancy, which involved me leaving work to care for her. You will be pleased to know that our daughter Charlotte was born on the 5th June!
So now I am looking for work again. As I'm in a small country city it is extremely hard to find library work, so I'm supplimenting that by volunteering at the local Christian Lending Library. This not only gets me back in the swing of library work, (and gets the book-rust off me), but helps me relax for a couple of hours.
I miss library work!
So that's what I'm up to. Next week, hopefully, my study material will arrive and I'll be thrown into the wonderful world of Managing Libraries. Between times I'm trying to catchup on reading library blogs again, especially Open Stacks.
When I'm back into study and thinking 24/7 about the profession, I may have more relevant things to impart. Until then, find a good book and curl up and enjoy.

*dusts off the blogger dashboard and finds The Librarydude blog underneath*
Hi again. The Librarydude here again after a tremendous break from updating, and even library work. Why? Well Mrs Librarydude has been pregnant and I have had to take time off to help her through.
And on the 5th June 2008 our daughter was born. So I am now trying to score work, and heading back to study all while learning the ins and outs of parenthood.
In about 3 weeks or so I will recieve material for my next Librarianship degree unit, Management in Libraries, and so I may return to this blog with some library related insights.
But until then, just remember, I am not yet dead.
